This class is for yoga teachers who are looking for ways to make their sequencing feel more creative, embodied and individualized. We break away from the “one size fits all” approach to asana, and meet students where they are. The intention is to help teachers find meaningful ways to truly embody their yoga, step into their authenticity, and be creative. In person RYT’s can earn up to 6 continuing education hours for completion of all 3 classes.
Class 1 sets a foundation for relating to our creativity as yoga practitioners; class 2 introduces new ways of thinking about sequencing and preparing the body for postures; and class 3 discusses merging philosophy and embodiment.

Learn how to move more fluidly through the spine in this mobility workshop. You'll learn about what spinal waves do in the body anatomically and energetically, and where your tension patterns are most prominent. Then we'll move through an asana sequence that strings together mobility practices and targeted warm ups to ease you towards spinal waves. After class, we'll focus on movements to free up space in different segments of the spine.
*Disclaimer: Please consult with your physician to see if this workshop is right for you if you have any spinal injuries, or if you've recently gotten any procedures or surgeries around the spine.

At its core, dance is about connection - to ourselves and to one another. Contact dance is a playful way of connecting through movement. This workshop is open to all levels and introduces the basics of partner contact dance.
Contact dance (or contact improvisation) is a form of improvised dance with a partner that uses the basic principles of rolling point of contact, weight sharing, and shared momentum. We find grounding, lift, flow, and creativity with our partner in an embodied conversation.
